This course is a supplement to new coaches’ Leaders’ Summit training in 2021 for the Minnnesota Cycling Association. Originally available for CEU credits, it is now freely available to watch as a resource for coaching, but will no longer qualify for credits. The Adventure Program team includes Melissa Davies (NICA Program Manager), Julie Gujer and Erik Moe (MN Adventure Program Leads). Incorporating different aspects of the sport of mountain biking (fundamentals, adventure, performance) into student programs provides opportunities for student-athletes to find their niche. This webinar will help coaches to explain experiential and adventure education, explain the “big picture of why and how adventure is implemented in MN, and describe how adventure is integrated in to their practice structure and plans.
